Houston’s latest weekly market snapshot shows a pretty encouraging setup for buyers and sellers heading into early February of 2026. New listings are up 4.3% year over year, with 3,436 homes hitting the market this week. That’s a healthy sign of growing inventory and more choice for buyers who’ve been waiting on the sidelines. While pending listings (1,732) and closings (1,537) are down compared to last year, this kind of shift often points to a market that’s rebalancing rather than weakening giving everyone a bit more room to negotiate and plan smartly.
